The rhythmic movement of a horse’s gait offers benefits not achievable through traditional therapies: muscles relax or awaken, confidence is built, and the rider enjoys a powerful and liberating experience that makes spirits soar. For some, the benefit is as simple as being able to say that they participate in a sport, particularly if able-bodied siblings are participating in soccer, swimming or hockey. One horse in particular – a 14.1-hand gelding named Jingles – has become an especially prized member of the Pegasus team.

This handsome show pony is ‘dressed to impress’ for the show ring. He’s ready to demonstrate to the judges his suitability as a child’s mount, his stylish paces and his smart jumping style. He’s an elegant bay with one hind white sock and a stylish narrow stripe on his head. Preparing for such a horse show presentation begins hours before the pony even steps into the ring. He must be bathed, clipped, and have his mane and tail braided. Right before he enters the ring, the final touches are added including special designs on his hindquarters. The Hunter Show Pony is a Traditional sized Breyer model and is 6 ½’’ x 10 ½’’.
